Security & backup

Don't get caught without a backup plan.

Dead drives, ransomware, fire, theft — it’s not if, it’s when. We set up automatic backups of your files and whole systems, keep copies off-site and watch them, so losing a computer never means losing your business.

What we do

Complete protection for your data

From one laptop to a full office with servers.

Image backups

Whole-computer and server images for fast, complete recovery.

File backups

Versioned backups of the files you can't afford to lose.

Off-site & cloud copies

A copy kept away from your building protects against fire, flood and theft.

Backup monitoring

We watch backup jobs so failures get fixed — not discovered during a crisis.

Restores

Need a file back or a whole machine rebuilt? We handle the restore.

Data recovery

For failed or damaged drives we work with DriveSavers recovery specialists.

Why CKMSP

Backups that actually come back.

A backup that isn’t monitored is just a hope. We use proven business backup tools, check that jobs complete and make sure there’s always a copy you can restore from.

And because we’re local, when something does go wrong you call us — not a ticket queue. Ask about CKMSP SecureVault, our own encrypted backup service.

Free, no-pressure estimate

Tell us what’s going on. You’ll get a clear price before any work starts.

Explainer

File vs. image-based backups: what's the difference?

File-based backups copy the individual files and folders you choose — documents, photos, accounting data. They’re efficient on storage and great for recovering a deleted spreadsheet or last week’s version of a file.

Image-based backups capture the entire computer — operating system, programs, settings and files. If a drive dies or ransomware hits, an image lets you restore the whole machine quickly instead of reinstalling everything from scratch.

For most businesses the answer is both: images of key computers and servers for fast recovery, plus file backups kept off-site so one fire, flood or theft can’t take everything.

File backup

Chosen files and folders · smaller · fast single-file restores

Image backup

The whole machine · larger · rebuild a dead PC as it was

Off-site copy

A copy away from your building, safe from fire, flood and ransomware

Automatically, at least daily for most businesses — more often for data that changes constantly. We set a schedule that matches how much work you could afford to lose.

Sync services help, but they can also sync deletions and ransomware-encrypted files. A true backup keeps separate, versioned copies.
